Carmarthenshire and west Wales

Located on a no-through road, the property is off the beaten track whilst being easily accessible from the main Carmarthen to Lampeter road. Brechfa Forest and Llanllwni Mountain are nearby with spectacular walks and dedicated cycle tracks.

The central location provides an ideal base to explore west Wales and beyond. The historic market towns of Carmarthen and Lampeter are 10 and 15 miles away respectively. The village of Llansteffan and sandy Scotts Bay on the south coast are a 45 minute drive. The Cardigan coast with unspoiled spots such as Mwnt, Llangrannog and Poppit Sands are easily reached through beautiful scenic countryside.
Carmarthenshire has strong links to poet Dylan Thomas who lived and wrote in
Laugharne, the Dylan Thomas Boathouse is 40 minutes drive and the Laugharne Weekend literary festival is now a fantastic annual event.
There are a number of fine restaurants in the county, and food producers who sell their own local produce.
There are many cultural and heritage locations to visit including Oriel Myrddin Gallery in Carmarthen and the National Woollen Museum in Drefach Felindre.

Carmarthenshire is known as the 'Garden of Wales' and Aberglasney House and Gardens and The National Botanic Gardens of Wales are within a 40 minute drive.
Sporty activities include canoeing at nearby Llandysul on the river Teifi which is also renowned for its salmon fishing. Mountain biking in Brechfa forest is very popular with four dedicated routes for all abilities including the newly opened 'Raven Trail' for expert riders. Paintballing is available in nearby Newcastle Emlyn. There is an 18 hole golf course in Carmarthen, whilst the newly created Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club with its Nicklaus designed course is now open near Llanelli, a 50 minute drive.
